A talented artist, Monique specialises in drawing animals, a skill she's perfected by observing her own beloved pets. Diagnosed with autism at four, Monique's happiest in her own private world, playing Fortnite, rocking out to Japanese metal music and hanging with her cats. Sadly, she's been bullied for her intense introversion, and having selective mutism doesn't help her, either. Sunbeam Academy is a nightmare for her from day one, and the principal, Debra Spade, seems determined to break her down. If only she could find a way out...
