Year Ten is hard enough, but for Imogen it's extra tough. Being quiet and autistic makes her a target for heartless bullies. Her best friend Caitlyn helps make her life more bearable, and she escapes reality by writing detective stories, listening to Tori Amos music and learning about butterflies. When Imogen's parents send her to Sunbeam Academy, whisking her away from her friends and special interests, she finds herself hurled into a stressful situation. The principal, Debra Spade, promises that Sunbeam Academy will transform Imogen into the person she dreams of being, but soon reveals her brutal methods. How will Imogen cope without her friends and family?
